Moderate/Intensive Intervention Specialist
The Geauga Achieve Program is currently seeking a Moderate/Intensive Intervention Specialist to establish a new Multiple Disabilities classroom ed at Kenston Middle School. Position responsibilities will include daily instruction in core and extended content standards; behavior management; progress monitoring; utilization of adaptive and orthopedic equipment; utilization of voice output and technology devices; toileting and hygiene of students; and classroom management functions.
Qualified applicants must be able to successfully complete the provided CPI training. Experience in implementing the following methods and activities is preferred: Use of TEACCH and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA); design of inclusion lessons and materials; maintenance of a classroom web page; inter-disciplinary treatment; and design of supports for parents.

Position responsibilities include daily instruction in core content areas following the Ohio Department of Education Standards/Extended Standards, daily supervision and behavior management for students, lesson plan development, progress monitoring, toileting and hygiene of students, and other necessary classroom functions. Qualified applicants must be able to complete the provided CPI training. Experience in TEACCH and ABA preferred. Application deadline 1/29/16.
