Moderate-Intensive Intervention Specialist - Middle School STARS Program
The Geauga County ESC - STARS Program seeks a Moderate-Intensive Intervention Specialist for a co-taught Middle School Autism unit housed in the Cardinal School District. Preferred candidates will possess the following skill sets:
1) Training in TEACCH and ABA systems preferred;
2) Knowledge of evidence based behavioral and social-emotional classroom management systems;
3) Ability to select and utilize technology to engage students;
4) Skill in designing lessons and assessments aligned with Common Core Standards & Extended Standards;
5) Competency in the collection, compilation, and reporting of student data;
6) Ability to design and utilize communications and strategies;
7) Proficiency in completing Special Education compliance activities and IEP case management;
8) Willingness to offer parents daily communication and support; and
9) Knowledge of prompting hierarchy, utilization of behavioral strategies to prevent and respond to challenging behaviors, and comfort in implementation of CPI (CPI training provided).

Physical Therapy Assistant
The Geauga County ESC is seeking an experienced LPTA for assignment to school age students with physical disabilities. The LPTA will be supervised by the Licensed PT. Skills sets required:

3) Ability to interact effectively with classroom personnel and other related service providers;
4) Ability to communicate clearly with parents, staff and students;

The Geauga County ESC seeks a full time Speech Language Pathologist to provide services to Geauga County and Riverside school districts. Preferred candidates will possess the following skill sets:
1) Training in TEACCH and ABA systems preferred;

2) Ability to carry out evaluations and re-evaluations procedures for identified students;
3) Plan and develop therapeutic intervention goals and treatment plans that are educationally relevant,
4) Competency in the collection, compilation, and reporting of student data;
5) Communicate results of evaluations and reports of speech therapy services to the educational staff, parents, students, and when appropriate, other professionals and agencies concerned with the students;
6) Effectively collaborate with classroom, families and building staff to create enriched communicative environment for students;
7) Ability to select and utilize technology to engage students; Comfort with implementation of communication devices;
8) Knowledge of prompting hierarchy, utilization of behavioral strategies to prevent and respond to challenging behaviors, and comfort in implementation of CPI (CPI training provided).

Preschool Intervention Specialist - Part Time
Preschool Intervention Specialist Position needed to accomodate increasing caseload. Candidate will have appropriate licensure, be familiar with both center-based and itinerant intervention roles, have a working knowledge of Early Learning Content Standards, Step Up To Quality and Preschool Licensing Standards, strong organization skills, data collection skills.
