Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

 A full time Licensed practical nurse is sought to provide nursing care in the public school setting. Applicants must possess pediatric nursing experience, hold professional liability insurance, be familiar with Medicaid documentation requirements, and have experience working on an interdisciplinary team.  In addition to nursing care, this position requires that the nurse provide the necessary support for students to access the classroom environment.  The LPN will work under the Supervision of the Registered Nurse.

Moderate/Intensive Intervention Specialist - Geauga ACHIEVE
Moderate-Intensive Intervention Specialist ~ Certified ~ Special Education ~ Teacher ~ Multiple Disabilities
The Geauga County ESC seeks a Moderate-Intensive Intervention Specialist for a High School MD unit with the Geauga ACHIEVE program.  The high school unit is located in the Berkshire School District. Preferred candidates will possess experience teaching students with disabilities and the following skill sets:
1) Training in TEACCH and ABA systems preferred;
2) Knowledge of evidence based behavioral classroom management systems;
3) Ability to select and utilize technology to engage students;
4) Skill in designing lessons and assessments aligned with Common Core Standards & Extended Standards;
5) Competency in the collection, compilation, and reporting of student data;
6) Ability to design and utilize communications and strategies;
7) Proficiency in completing Special Education compliance activities and IEP case management;
8) Willingness to offer parents daily communication and support; and
9) Knowledge of prompting hierarchy, utilization of behavioral strategies to prevent and respond to challenging behaviors, and comfort in implementation of CPI (CPI training provided).

Multi-Age Physical Education Instructor
Multi-Age Physical Education Instructor ~ Certified ~ Teacher
The Geauga County ESC seeks a full time Multi-Age Physical Education Instructor, fully licensed by the State of Ohio, to provide physical education instruction as part of an educational program servicing children who have a variety of social, emotional or behavioral concerns, residing in a residential facility. The facility is located in East Cleveland, Ohio.
Specific skills required include:
1)      Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills;
2)      Strong motivational skills;
3)      Possess patience and extensive knowledge of physical fitness, sports, and exercise;
4)      Skill in designing lessons and assessments aligned with Common Core Standards;
5)      Ability to work with both regular education and students with special needs;
6)      Ability to assess the educational needs of students and develop appropriate lesson plans and individualized assistance;
7)      Establish a good rapport with students and work cooperatively with other facility staff members;
8)      Competency in the collection, compilation, and reporting of student data;
9)      Knowledge of prompting hierarchy, utilization of behavioral strategies to prevent and respond to challenging behaviors, and comfort in verbal de-escalation techniques (CPI training provided).

Early Intervention Specialist - Preschool
Half-time position available for licensed Early Intervention Specialist.   Preferred candidate will have experience teaching in a centerbased preschool special ed classroom.  Knowledge of Early Learning Development Standards and TEACCH and ABA methodologies. Strong oral and written communication skills.   Experience and ability to use a variety of technology including iPads with and for students, email, internet, data charting.  Strong organizational skills to enable on time etrs and iep as well as timely reports.  Must be comfortable with the role of case manager.

EARLY INTERVENTION SPECIALIST - PRESCHOOL
Part time long term sub in centerbased preschool classroom for the 2014/2015 school year.   The preferred candidate will have experience with teaching in a preschool special ed class with a diverse range of ages and abilities, be comfortable with the role of case manager, have knowledge AEPS and Creative Curriculum, possess strong technology skills and comfort with the internet, communication devices including iPad and email.   Ability to write etrs, ieps and reports in a timely manner.

Board Certified Behavior Analyst
A Board Certified Behavior Analyst is sought to provide behavioral assessments and design interventions for disabled students in grades PreK through 22.  Preferred candidate will have experience delivering services within a public school setting across developmental levels.  The BCBA should be comfortable modeling interventions for teachers and educational assistants.  CPI cerficiation required.
